General
Yes. Most of our members started with no prior experience. Classes are structured so beginners can learn safely and confidently, while more experienced members continue to develop. You will never be thrown into the deep end or made to feel out of place.
All adult classes run for 60 minutes. Each session includes a structured warm-up, technical instruction, drilling, and optional live training. Sessions are focused, controlled, and designed for long-term development.
- Comfortable sports clothing without zips (t-shirt and shorts or leggings)
- A water bottle
- A mouthguard if you already own one
- Your own training gloves

No. Sparring is always optional. Beginners focus on learning technique and drilling first. Sparring is introduced gradually, in a controlled environment, only when someone feels ready.
We recommend training 2 to 3 times per week for consistent improvement. Some members train more frequently, others less. Consistency matters more than intensity.
No. Training is how you build fitness. You are not expected to be in shape when you start. Conditioning improves naturally through regular training.
All class bookings are managed through our gym app, MAAT. Download the app, create your account, and you can browse the timetable, book into sessions, and manage your membership all in one place. Download MAAT here.
Yes. We offer a free trial class so you can experience our training environment and coaching style before committing. Trial members are required to bring their own equipment, as we do not provide shared gear due to hygiene reasons.
No long-term contracts. We offer pay-as-you-go and rolling monthly memberships so you are free to train without being locked in.
All membership cancellations must be submitted via email to Tigerstylemma24@gmail.com. Paid memberships operate on a rolling basis and are subject to one month's notice. Trial sessions are one-off and do not require a cancellation notice unless they have been converted into a paid membership.
Yes. One-to-one sessions are available and tailored to your individual goals, whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist. To learn more about our instructors or inquire about availability, please visit our Coaches page.
Women's Only
Yes. Sessions take place in a completely private setting with no male members, staff, or coaches present. The training area is fully curtained off to prevent any outside visibility. Your privacy and comfort are the priority.

No. Sessions are designed for all fitness levels, including complete beginners. Your conditioning will develop naturally through regular training. There is no expectation to be in shape before you start.
All bookings are made through the MAAT app. Download it, create your account, and you'll see the Women's Only sessions listed on the days they run. Just select the session and book your spot. Download MAAT here.
Facilities & Location
We are located at 124 Chapman Street, E1 2PH. The gym is a 2-minute walk from Shadwell DLR and Overground stations.
Resident on-street parking is available after 5:30pm. Spaces are very limited in the area, so please plan your journey accordingly if travelling by car.
Yes. We have on-site changing room facilities with showers and toilets. The changing room is equipped with benches and coat hooks for personal belongings. As with any training environment, we recommend keeping valuables out of sight at all times.
Tigerstyle MMA is built on discipline, structure, and community. Training is supervised, purposeful, and controlled. We focus on developing skill, composure, and confidence over time rather than chasing exhaustion or ego driven sparring.
